Returns & Exchanges

At CBGuys.com, we want customers to order with confidence. If a return or exchange becomes necessary, the guidelines below explain how requests are handled and what conditions must be met.

Return Eligibility

  • Return or exchange requests must be submitted within 30 days of shipment.
  • Approved returns may be subject to a 35% restocking fee.
  • Returns outside the 30-day period require written authorization and may be denied.
  • Products that have been installed, energized, tested, or otherwise used are not eligible for return.
  • Returned items must be unused, in resalable condition, and shipped with the original factory packaging.

Any shortages or shipping damage must be reported within five (5) business days of delivery.


Return Authorization (RA)

All returns must be approved in advance and issued a Return Authorization (RA) number by CBGuys.com.

To request an RA:

The RA number must be clearly displayed on the outside of the shipping carton and accompanied by a copy of the original invoice or receipt.

RA approvals are valid for 15 days. Returns received after expiration or without proper RA identification may be refused or delayed.


Return Acceptance Conditions

CBGuys.com reserves the right to decline any return or exchange that does not meet the following criteria:

  • Product and packaging are received undamaged and in like-new condition
  • All original parts, manuals, inserts, and accessories are included
  • Factory packaging is intact
  • Product condition matches how it was originally shipped

Returns will not be approved based on manufacturing date, cosmetic appearance, or external packaging wear when the product itself is unused.


Inspection & Refunds

Refunds are issued only after the returned item has been received, inspected, and tested if necessary.

  • Returns approved outside the standard return window may incur a restocking fee of up to 50% or be deemed non-returnable.
  • Any electrical energization or testing voids eligibility for refund.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for all return shipping charges on non-warranty returns.

Returned items must be shipped using a traceable carrier. CBGuys.com is not responsible for:

  • Lost shipments
  • Damage caused by improper packaging

Please package items securely to prevent transit damage.


Non-Warranty Returns

For non-warranty return requests, customers must contact:

Open Hardware Kit Exception

Hardware kits, including internal packaging, must remain sealed until you are certain the item is required. Opened kits may be ineligible for return.


Manufacturer-Specific Return Restrictions

Hammond Transformers (Hammond Power Solutions)

All Hammond transformer products are Non-Cancellable and Non-Returnable (NCNR). These items are manufactured or processed to order and cannot be canceled or returned under any circumstances.


CBGuys.com Warranty Policy

Warranty Coverage Overview

Products sold by CBGuys.com may not qualify for original manufacturer warranties, as CBGuys.com is not an authorized distributor of surplus or discontinued products. Instead, qualifying items are covered by CBGuys.com’s Two-Year Limited Warranty, as outlined below.


New & Surplus Product Warranty

  1. Warranty Duration
    CBGuys.com warrants that products sold under a specific invoice will be free from defects in material and workmanship for two (2) years from the invoice date, provided the product is used under normal operating conditions.
  2. Warranty Issuer
    This warranty is provided solely by CBGuys.com. Manufacturer warranties do not apply. Warranties are non-transferable without written consent.

    A valid RA number is required for all warranty returns. Unauthorized shipments will not be accepted.
  5. Shipping Charges
    Customers are responsible for freight, expedited shipping, and rush service fees associated with warranty returns.
  6. Warranty Remedy
    CBGuys.com may, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective product at no charge. If repair or replacement is not possible, a refund or credit equal to the purchase price may be issued.
  7. Claim Timing
    Warranty claims and returned items must be received within the warranty period and reference the assigned RA number.
  8. Limitation of Liability
    This warranty replaces all other express or implied warranties. CBGuys.com disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Liability is limited to the amount paid for the product. CBGuys.com is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or revenue.

CBGuys.com does not provide, license, install, or source firmware and makes no representation regarding firmware availability or licensing rights. Customers are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable software license agreements.


Warranty for Repaired Products

Products repaired by CBGuys.com may not be covered by manufacturer repair warranties. However, repaired items qualify for the CBGuys.com Two-Year Repair Warranty.

  1. Repair Warranty Period
    Repaired components are warranted for two (2) years from the repair invoice date, assuming normal use.
  2. Warranty Ownership
    This repair warranty is issued solely by CBGuys.com and is non-transferable without written approval.
  3. Repair Warranty Claims
    Claims must be submitted using the contact information above.
  4. Return Authorization
    All repair warranty returns require an RA number.
  5. Shipping Responsibility
    Customers are responsible for freight and expedited shipping charges.
  6. Repair Remedy
    CBGuys.com may repair or replace the repaired item. If neither is feasible, a credit equal to the repair charge may be issued.
  7. Claim Deadline
    Claims must be made and products returned within the applicable warranty period.
  8. Exclusions
    This repair warranty does not apply to items previously serviced under a product warranty claim.
  9. Liability Limitation
    Liability is limited to the amount paid for the repair service. CBGuys.com is not responsible for indirect or consequential damages.
